The Chairs
TNUA T305 Experimental Theatre
March 15-17, 2013
Facing Lonesco’s play “The Chairs ” in our 20s, our young director transferred the desire for the truth, the disappointment of waiting for help and the signs of group consciousness into modern society. The young actors played the role of old people to convince the audience. The designers created a whole new scene which is thoroughly different from the original play’s stage structure, and modified the classic play. Old man and old woman is waiting for the guests, they have prepared this feast for their whole life, the man invited a speaker to speak for him, it is crowded and sweated in the room and everyone waited for so long, the speaker is finally arrived.
